What Causes A Painful Scaly Lesion On The Forehead While Treating Chicken Pox?

Hello My child 5 years got chicken pox and now it s the 16 th day and completely dried. But there s a one dried wound still in her head coverded by hair and she complains it s painful when I try to take the dry skin out.. Please advise me what can I do for this And how I can remove it...is it normal?? Thank u

Hello,

It is just a superficial scab.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief.

If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
