What Causes A Painful Lump On The Knee?

Hi, I have a lump on my knee that has been present for 2-3 years, painfree and completely discomfort free. It feels almost fluidly and have noticed it doesnt grow any hair on the lump (unsure if that means anything). I am very athletic and never experience pain but would love to know what it might be or how to get rid of it.

Meet orthopedic surgeon for proper examination. you may need to get the MRI of the affected knee joint in order to pinpoint the pathology.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
