What Causes A Painful Bruise On The Wrist?

2 days ago i got a sudden stinging feeling on inside of my wrist whilst doing housework..nothing strenuous. I didn t bump it or anything... I immediately saw a large bruise looking area .....all under the skin, nothing raised like a rash or bite.....which was quite sore and stinging for just a little while, reminded me of when i had a clot in my leg once...Now it looks darker, has a white centre and is only a little bit tender...really weird

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You do not need to worry. Most probably it is a trauma induced purpura. I will heal on its own. You can supplement yourself with Vitamin C. But in case of active bleeding or extensive lesions, do consult your doctor immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
