Hi, I've had enlarged papillae towards the back of my tongue for quite some time. One such 'Ulser ' or blister developed on the right side back of the tongue - I noticed it about 3 weeks ago. This is mildly painful as well. Have been gargling with Bernadine and salt water continuously but it hasn't subsided. My saliva has been sticky since then. Also there's a very tiny abrasive surface on the inside of my mouth also on the right side for sometime. Pl advise what I should do. I'm a 40 year old Indian female. Am a thallesemia minor and anemic. Ocassionaly take b- complex supplements.
Blister on Tongue, abraded surface and swollen Papillae on the back of tongue that seems to be most probably swollen circumvallate Papillae..
As you are Anaemic, it is one of the most common cause for mouth ulcers and inflammation inside Mouth..
This condition is known as Apthous stomatitis leading to Apthous ulcer..
You should start doing soda bicarb gargles. You can also Gargle with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and Benadryl.. For pain you can apply Lidocaine or Choline salicylate containing gel.. Start taking iron and Vitamin B complex supplements after consulting a Physician..
Hope your query is resolved..
Regards..
