What Causes A Lump On The Shin Bone After An Injury?

I fell approximately 2-3 weeks ago and still have a hard bump and reddish bruising around area. Right below the knee fells like on my shin bone. Can walk and bend knee but cannot kneel and put pressure without severe pain. Why would doc give me 100 doxycycline twice a day?

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to hematoma formation. Applying ice packs will be helpful. You can also apply thrombophob gel for local application.
