What Causes A Lump On The Chin Post An Injury?

I was in a car accident two weeks ago and hit my chin I The steering wheel. It was bruised and scraped for the first week and a half and hard to move and swollen on one side. now just tender. Now I have a lump on my chin too. Is this just tissue or broken?

As per my clinical experience, the lump on chin post an injury is indicative of hematoma following soft tissue or bone injury. There are distinctive features of both of such injuries as soft tissue injury will not that grave disturbances with jaw movements as opposed to that of bone injury. However, a clinical examination is appropriate to take final decision regarding the cause and type of hematoma with its precise management. Till the time being approach, ice application serves best for swelling reduction.
