What Causes A Lump And Pain In The Right Foot Heel?

i used to work between 2012 - 2014 when i think that i may have hurt my heel, i ordered a pair of work shoes from my workplace. within months, i noticed that my feet hurt, mostly my right foot. i continued to wear them, they were non slip rubber work clogs with a low heel. ever since, my right heel has been in pain and i am starting to limp and walk very slowly, i am afraid to step down on my right foot. there is a small lump on the back part of my right heel that is tender to the touch. it is getting harder to walk about.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per your symptoms, there is possibility of calcaneal spur along with plantar fasciitis. It is advisable to wear low heel shoe to maintain centre of gravity of whole body.

You may need an x-ray heel to see bony overgrowth. Start plantar exercises consulting physiotherapist. Use soft insole in shoes and take calcium supplement with Vitamin D.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi
