What Causes A Loose Motion After The Morning Breakfast?

I have been experiencing a problem where ill eat something for breakfast in the morning on the way to work, and an hour or two i`ll have a upset stomach and then have to rush to get to a bathroom . And nothing ever seems to come out solid. I`ve tried to document certain foods to see which does what ,but it`s tough to do. I should let you know i did have my Gall bladder removed a couple of years ago because of a gall stone. I don`t know if that has anything to do with it.

Hello. Normally a simple act of eating stimulates movement in the gastrointestinal tract, and this is called the gastrocolic reflex. This stimulates contractions in the large intestine, which leads to a bowel movement shortly after eating. Usually the reflex is triggered by eating a large meal, meals that contain too much fat like fried foods, rich gravies etc..and drinking large amounts of cold liquid at the same time. But an abnormally strong gastrocolic reflex has been implicated as playing a part in some symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
If you dont have a gallbladder, your body does not store bile as before, and bile helps you digest fat. That's why we recommend our patients to have a low-fat diet. If you ingest a lot of fatty food, chances are that you will be having more frequent bowel movements, stimulating the gastrocolic reflex.
Hope this helps.
