What Causes A Large Lump On The Right Arm?

I have developed a nickle sized lump on my right arm just down on the side of my arm near my elbow. My arm is tender in the area and the muscles are sore radiating towards my hand from the lump. The lump seems fixed and does not move. Is this something I should be concerned with?
