What Causes A Large Bruise Around The Groin Area After Inguinal Hernia Repair?
My husband had Inguinal hernia repair on Wed 11/16/16. He has developed a large bruce in the inguinal sea going down his Lt testicle. Is that normal.? He usually takes baby aspirin and he stopped taking it 3 days before surgery. I am not sure if he restarted it again. Could it be possible that he has a sub Q bleeding? He has been icing the incision often
Bruises are very normal after surgery. I recommend using ice immediately to reduce blood flow around the area. I also recommend using vitamin K cream for local application. After some days or weeks, the bruise should be gone.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
