What Causes A Hard Swelling On The Surgical Site In The Back?

Wantto know had a fusion on the L5/S1 the 10th august 2016 and the saturday they send me home 13th August 2016. At home i was resting monday and tuesday i felt my wound is swollen i thought its going to be ok. Wednesday the 17th august i called dr i told dr there is something wrong i was lying in bed i began to cough then i feel something wet at the back. I asked my husband to look. He say the wound is open and fluid coming out. Went to the dr. He told me i must be booked in for operatio open wound and to be clean. They did it. It is nou saturday from wedsnesday my wound is still swollen and feels hot and hard. The neurosurgeon say its ok but i cant understand the sisters at ward also says it not right. It mustnt be like that i had fusion on back and neck before but i hadnt this problem can u give me a second opinion

cat checked and reviewed by surgeon who operated for it there may be gaping in suture it requeres proper dressing and may be re suturing.sweling means there may be some inflammation. some analgesic and systemic antibiotic may be recomanded
