What Causes A Hard Mass Like Feeling And Pain At The Back Of Head?

i just felt the back of my head. It was hurting, a few weeks ago i kept passing out. I went to e.r. they said they couldn t help me. Gave me medicine for vertigo. On the back of my head i feel a huge mass, baseball like. What is going on with me, its numb. But yet it hurts and I don t feel right lately. The e.r. doctor ran blood test and ex rest of my chest. They all came back I am very healthy. I am 28, female, 5 4 and I weigh 270. Please don t say it my weight. My blood pressure is normal, my blood sugar was low. I asked for a cat scan the denied me. My question is why is my head literally swollen. I m nervous, I don t know how long its been there. I just noticed something was not right today.

Because of blunt injury swelling occurs which feels like mass not paining but draws attention.

This usually resolves within few days of injury maximum a month. If it doesn't get reduced gradually with time you should go for further investigations like CAT scan as per advised.
