What Causes A Foot Drop After A Hip Replacement Surgery?

Rob here. I like to research procedures when recommended by my medical care team. I have drop foot following Hip replacement surgery 12/2015. Since a wound on the bottom of my foot has taken 6 months to heal(I have a hard time not putting weight on it) with great care from my doc and the team. The procedure is to have surgery on the Achilles tendon (my mind may have fogged over at this point) and treat recovery with 6 weeks no weigh bearing, the rehab. Where can I find more information on this surgery? Mayo, WebMD, SanfordOrthopedics has very little on foot drop repair other than mention surgery with no details.? Help please. In past surgeries i.e. A.A.A., Minuscus tear, Bicep tendon tear, Carpel tunnel, Spinal Epidural Lipomatosis, Degenerative Disc. I have been able to find abundant information. Through sources listed and professional journals. But Podiatry seems too be harder to crack. Some guidance please. Thank you in advance.
