What Causes A Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat?
I had a C5 disc replacement with artificial disc in September of 2015. Since then and it s been about 14 months I have had a feeling off and on like there s something stuck in my throat. Sometimes it s hard to breathe. If I swallow liquid or food I seem to get relief for about 10 seconds? And sometimes if I burp I get relief also. Any idea as to what it could be?
The probable diagnosis is acid reflux and mass or growth in the throat. As first-line management, you can take antacids like omeprazole or pantoprazole for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. A laryngoscopy is required for further assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
