Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Many different medical conditions can cause such a feeling in your throat. It sounds like a chronic
throat infection.Chronic throat infections will not always present like acute throat infections. With chronic infection, you get adapted and the illness can be there for long whereas acute cases hit at a go and are very symptomatic.Throat examination might come normal but a throat swap test might not. Some common medical conditions that can give you this symptoms are viral and bacterial infections,
allergy, dry throat from environmental conditions, chronic gastro-intestinal reflux and throat tumours even though less likely in your case.
Given the chronic nature, i feel you should not neglect as will be the case with most mild throat pains. You should go see your
ENT specialist again, request for a throat swap culture and H pylori tests. Depending on the results, you can be better managed. In the mean time, here are some home measure to make you feel better:
-Drink enough fluids and always
-Take comforting food and beverages and avoid
cold things
- Gargle with salt water occasionally
-Humidify air
-Keep your home from smoke/cigarette
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
