What Causes A Feeling Of Air Releasing From The Ear?

I have had hearing loss for a few months in on ene of my ears. There s the usual tinnitus along with fullness. I have a question about something. Sometimes when I think hard on something it s like air releases from the ear. It s a weird feeling. Do you know what this might be?

Hello,

The sensation of air releasing from the ear may be due to the eustachian tube being opened and causing the middle ear space to get aerated. The eustachian tube actually has this function, to balance the pressure on both sides of the eardrum.

Probably the eustachian tube in your case is blocked and time after time when it opens you feel this sensation as if the air is coming out of the air.
This is not dangerous and there is nothing to worry about.
