What Causes A Fainting Spell And Headache With Numbness In Leg With Family History Of MS?

My son recently fainted in the out doors and had a migraine headache, and told me his left leg felt numb. I took him to the ER and they said it could have been dehydration, so he was given IV fluids. He also had a low grade fever prior in bring him to the ER. Should I tell his physician to run a test for either MS or any other auto immune conditiion. I also have MS.

Hi,

Hope your son is feeling better now. In most of the instances MS is not inherited. Chances of such an occurrence in your son getting the same disease are 1 in 1000. I advise you to consult your physician and get him screened for MS in case of repeat occurrence of the similar symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
