Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Thank you! I have a bladder that is stretched out. I am 72 years old, 6 ft. tall and 265 lbs. In very good health except for my urinary track. Had a TURP a year ago in January. Bladder capacity is 450 CC s and does not vacate completely. Concerned about what is my prognosis for the next 20 years. So far have not had any imaging done to see the actual shape of my bladder. Mu urologist says I have trabeculation (sp?) on the inside of my bladder. I think it may be a birth defect. Looking for answers. Art Olsen

What Causes A Distended Bladder?
Hello, It is probably still an enlarged prostate that gives you these problems. See a urologist, probably for an alpha blockade or maybe a second TURP. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
