What Causes A Cluster Of Pus Filled Bumps On The Upper Lid Of Eye?

My husband says something flew in his eye in the car. It is swollen and has been for almost a week. Now it is only in the corner. On top of the lid. I looked in his eye and there is several pus filled bumps, they leaked a little when he lifted the lid. what can we do for this and what could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is likely he has an infection in the eye based on the presence of the pus in the eye.

Swelling is also an indication of infection as well.

It would be best for him to be seen because he may need either oral or topical antibiotic eye drops for treatment.
This should not be delayed because the eye does not tolerate infection well .

He would likely respond well when the medication is started

I hope this helps
