What Causes A Circular Bruise On Lower Back And Spine?
My son just showed me a huge bruise on his lower back right of spine…perfect oval with a lighter outer ring…tender..and darker middle…looks to me it could have been some sort of internal bleeding…he said it started as a rash…last Tuesday…and grew to this….he also fell off his bike on Wed. but says he hit his arm…ready to go to the hospital….can t find anything on line that looks like this…and he says he s fine.
* As per my clinical experience, the narrated lesion of circular bruise with no pain after history of fall from bike indicates underlying hematoma with superficial changes of the skin.
* The skin overlying show up various color changes as per the degradation status of the collected blood as heme lysis and which may show up as altered hue of green, light blue like skin color.
* Primary relief with ice application and later on prescription of antibiotics with anti inflammatory medications will help to resolve it faster way.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
