What Causes A Chronic Feeling Of Obstruction In Throat?
My husband is 87 years old - he just had heart surgery and seemed to come thru ok but even before the surgery he was having difficulty swallowing - its like something gets stuck in his throat even water he s losing weight because he can t eat anything

he could have the dysphagia due to any oesophageal problems or any problem with the vocal cords.
i suggest you to take him to an ENT surgeon to get it checked out with a direct laryngoscopy,to find out for any growth or weakness or pareisis of the vocal cords, or any chronic infection of the throat( especially fungal) or any associated problems with the weight loss.
