What Causes A Cardiac Arrest After Taking Avelox?

I had avelox in the hospital which sent me into cardiac arrest and later flat lined and ever since then I ve had problems with my heart that were not there before. I ve also been hospitalized since then for heart related issuses that weren t present before this. Are there any lawsuits pertaining to this drug?

Hello,

Avelox contains Moxifloxacin. It is flauroquinolon group of antibiotic.
It can cause QTC prolongation on ECG. So, it is quite possible to have heart block (conduction defect), if you are taking Moxifloxacin. But it's effect is not permanent.

Once you stop the drug, QTC interval will be normal.
For legal purpose, I don't think there is a chance because it is well known side effect of Moxifloxacin.
