What Causes A Bump In Lower Eyelid After Chalazion Surgery?

I had chalazion surgery yesterday on my lower left eyelid. But it looks identical to how it did before I had any surgery at all. Bump is still there and the same size and everything. Is that normal? I thought I wold have at least a difference in the size.

Hi there.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

After surgery the eyelid will be swollen due to oedema. It is normal.

Kindly consult your Doctor on how to reduce the swelling if it is causing any problem like pain or itchiness, as certain medication can help.

Keep the eye clean and avoid touching it.

Thanking you.

Regards,

Dr. Aashish Raghu
