What Causes A Bubbly Cracking Sound In The Lung While Deep Breathing?

When I breathe deeply I have sort of a bubbly crackling sound coming from my right lung. It happened yesterday after very strenuous activity. I am not sick but when it bubbles and or crackles I tend to cough and the phlegm is yellow and tastes very bitter. I also have had chest and back pain on the same side. Just wondering what this could be?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
By your history and description , in my opinion you are having pleurisy (inflammation of pleura) mostly.
Because chest pain on coughing with yellow sputum and bubbling sensation can be seen in pleurisy.
Following ate tge possible causes of pleurisy.
1. Pneumonia
2. Tuberculosis
3. Pleural effusion. Etc.
So get done chest x ray to rule out all these causes.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
