What Causes A Blue Rash Around An IV Infusion Site?
I was given IV infusion for Pneumonia and also Injection 3 days ago after they found my high blood sugar due to the steroid consumption. Now i have rash that seems to be kind of blue around the places were injection was given. What is that blue patches ?

Hello,
It is due to a condition called thrombophlebitis.
It is nothing but a minor inflammation at the IV site.
As a first line management you can apply Thrombophob ointment for symptomatic relief.
Nothing much to worry and you will be fine in couple of days.
