I tend to get a uti everytime Im about to get my menstrual cycle. Its happened for years and I just cant seem to get rid of it. What can I do? I get on abx and it will come back in about 2 weeks later. Ive been in pcn, diflucan, bactrim to name a few and piridium for the burning sensation. I drink lots of water daily. I have taken probiotics with no results, drank cranberry juice on a regular basis and nothing seems to work. Im tired of it. Please help. Thank you

What Causes UTI Before Menstruation Everytime?
Dear user, I really understand your concern. The antibiotic of choice depends on the specific bacteria found upon culture so you should do an urine culture and sensitivity. Also further investigations may be needed to rule out an obstruction, vesicoureteric reflux, and dysfunctional voiding. Take care about your hygiene. Dr.Elton
