What Caused Severe Migraines After Getting Choked?

A friend of mine choked a few days ago and is still experiencing horrendous migraines. She has been to the emgerency room, was given a cat scan and all was good. She is taking pain medication and will see her dr. on Tues. What could still be causing the headaches?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The severe migraine can be from multiple issues as labyrinthine disturbances, neurone amines or other disturbances in which many times CT scan would not show up anything positive.

In our clinic, I recommend a detailed counselling of the patient with thorough history which is pivotal to find out any stress, anxiety related factors as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
