What Cause Peeling Skin On The Penis To Toddler?

My toddler has peeling skin on the tip of his penis, any idea what could have caused this? He s recently potty trained and of course is always grabbing at himself down there. We ve just kinda figured it was from him having outdoor plumbing . He told me it hurts so I put vasaline on it, any other suggestions?

Hi... by what you Quote I feel that he has a habit of handling his genitalia, but this habit will go off if you ignore it and as the child grows. But the skin peeling which you have referred to I feel is because of frequent handling of the genitalia by toddler. What you are currently doing is perfectly fine - applying Vaseline, but if there is redness or swelling in the area then it is suggestive of bacterial infection & in such a case I suggest you seek the consultation of your pediatrician.
