That's what Lopressor is supposed to do. If you feel dizzy, light headed, or actually pass out, get to an ER or call your doctor.

I would like to know what are the causes of having low blood pressure? My mother is 77 yrs old. She was taken to the ER because she was having a hard time breathing and her face was turning blue. Hospital informed us that her BP is low and that she needs to be admitted. After 2 days she was released and admitted again this morning due to her low BP. She is weak, in and out of her consciousness and awareness. She shakes when she is in any pain. We have not receive any understandable explanation regarding her health condition. Your help will be very appreciate. Her medical history are the following. Her doctor prescribed oxycodone for her pain. My siblings decided to take her out of her pain meds because it s not helping her with pain anymore. And the pain meds is not good for her at all. She is getting blood dialysis treatment.

I have been struggling with being dizzy, lightheaded and blacking out. My blood pressure around from 61/91 all the way up to 128/86 during these episodes of dizziness. Dr says my BP has been trending lower than normal lately. I had gastric bypass surgery in July of this year but dont think this is directly related to this issue. I had a bit of positioning vertigo in april before my surgery and then started with the full fledged dizziness issue in August and ended up going on leave from work by the end of Sept. Do you have any ideas on what could be my problem? I feel weak, dizzy and generally sick all the time.
