HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Any procedure , if not done under thoroughly sterile conditions , is associated with a risk of infection. Infection can also occur if the area is touched in a non sterile manner a lot after the procedure.

Piercing of the cartilage can sometimes be associated with more complications compared to piercing the lower ear lobe.

It is important to clean the area daily . This is done after washing the hands.
The area can be cleaned with alcohol and antibiotic cream applied.

I hope this helps
