What Can Cause Pain In The Chest And Cough After Choking On A Drink?

I choked on my drink two days ago and since then it really hurt in my lungs and developed a cough, dark green phlegm. Today I felt really tired and my temperature shot up to 41 and won t go down with paracetamol, I feel dizzy and legs have gone all stiff and my breathing hurts

Hi,

While choking the drink, it's quite possible you may have aspirated some of it into your lungs, which may cause aspiration pneumonia or lung abscess. it is therefore advised to do a chest X-Ray and meet your doctor so it may be properly evaluated and treated on time.
