Hello,

Hip pain that radiating to knee may be due to iliotibial track syndrome or meralgia parasyetica or compressive neuropthy with pain.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Get it done x-ray of lumbar spine, nerve conduction study and clinical examination is needed.

Take rest, use nsaids for pain relief. Please consult your physician /neurophysician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
