What Can Cause Itching, Inflammation And Swelling In The Ankles?

Hi so I recently went to a campground and I was outside talking till about 2:30am and I went inside and went to bed I woke up with my ankles all red and swollen and itchy, it has been 2 days now and the swelling has went away but it looks like little bites. Everyone was saying it was either poison Ivy, mosquitoes or flea bites. Well I think it’s flea bites because it looks like it and I was sitting next to a dogs cage and the dog is known to have fleas. And I wasn’t walking anywhere to get poison ivy so

Yes. As you said it could be an insect bite hypersensitivity. Other possibilities are cellulitis and inflammatory arthritis. The treatment options vary for all the three conditions.
