Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, about 4 yrs. ago I fell forward on concrete steps and hit my shin full force. I didn t really consider a broken bone at the time. It was bleeding a little but hurt worse than just that. A couple days later it was bruised and I felt a bone chip that was moving around when I touched it. Today it s still there, and sometimes it s tender to touch. I can feel the piece about an inch long right in the middle of my shin. I think I chipped my bone, is there anything that can be done?
Hi, first thing to be done is to take an x ray and to see the alignment. If it is an isolated chip of bone which certainly would have malunited by this time and that it is anyway not going to cause any problem except cosmetic, just leave it alone.
