What Can I Do If My Right Cheek Is Bigger Than The Left?
My son is six months old and I have noticed in the last few weeks his right cheek is slightly bigger than his left....I have touched it and it doesnt seem to hurt him in any way....I dont think he is teething as he hasn t been cranky or anything but he has on a few occasions chew the inside of his cheeks....can you advise please I dont want to go to my doctorand they tell me I am being silly or its in my head
Sometimes it is normal to have one cheek bigger than the other. As your baby has no pain and no symptoms, it's absolutely normal. Slowly as the face grows, the asymmetry will disappear and both the cheeks come to same size. You don't need to worry or go to doctor. You can relax and wait and watch.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
