What Can I Do About Intense Itching In And Around The Vagina That Is Re-occurring After Completing A Course Of Medication?

Hi so for a while now I have had some problems with my vaginal area I have had intense itching inside and around my vagina and it feels like it’s swollen and I have noticed that I have a sore down in the area and I feel a burning sensation down there aswell , I don’t use any type of soaps and I’m a hygienic person and this has been going on for a few months now and the doctor I seen said it was thrush and then I treated it with cream and a tablet but it has reoccurred but I believe it’s something more than thrush

Hi,

The way you have recurrent vaginal itching, with probably itching seems to be due fungal infection called trichomoniasis. It is recurrent due to genital unhygienic or through sexual relations. Mostly, both sex partners suffer from the same infection at same time. Sufficient treatment of sex partners simultaneously till the symptoms completely disappear in both persons, is only way to get rid of the symptoms.
