What Are The Withdrawal Effects Of Depo Provera?

Was on depo for over 12 years but stopped about 12 months ago. Definitely not pregnant but still experiencing very sore breasts just before my period. Which, by the way, started up again last month after 12 years of no period at all. Could I still be experiencing withdrawal symptoms of stopping the depo?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Soreness of the breasts before a period is one of the premenstrual symptoms that can occur.

It is one of the common symptoms that can precede a period. It is not likely related to the depo.

I hope this helps
