What Are The Symptoms Of Low Blood Pressure?

I am 18 years old. I have passed out here and there since I was 6 years old. Sometimes at the sight of my blood, others blood, needles, or just standing up talking... When I pass out I have been told that I shake all over as if I m having a seizure. Doctors have never told me what the cause is. About 6 months ago I realized that every time I get lightheaded , my right arm gets a sharp piercing pain all through it. Every time I go to the doctor my blood pressure is low ... Any kind of advice or input would be helpful?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The feeling of passing out when you see blood, needles or else indicate situational syncope through underlying sympathetic response of low level. There are specific measures to handle such instances as:
- Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids
- Behavior modifications
- Exposure therapy in controlled clinical settings
- Supportive medications which may require addition of beta blockers as Propranolol or others

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
