What Are The Symptoms Of Diarrhea In An Infant?

My baby is going to be 2 months old on February 14th . Is it normal that she wakes up every morning congested and stuffed up ? Also lately I have been having to change her diaper more frequently because when she coughs or sneezes a little bit of poop runs out .. I m breastfeeding and I formula feed her sometimes also . What are considered normal poops ? And how do I know if she is sick or has diahrrea ? Her immunizations are coming up and I need to be sure she s 100% healthy ....

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unless your baby is not playful and not passing stools and urine there is nothing to be worried of. I would like to tell you first that please do feed your own breast milk. unless your are having shortage of it. Babies who consume breast milk have the best immunity. Up to 6 months please only give your milk. If your baby passes so much of watery stools with mucus and blood you have to be worried. As age increases mostly the problem of passing poops and urine with cough will reduce. so its nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your query.
