What Are The Symptoms Of Piriformis Syndrome?

I think I have piriformis syndrome. I went to the doctor and well, it was a general doctor so it wasn t confirmed but i was given anti inflammatory drugs. What concerns me is when I read about other peoples piriformis conditions they are talking about severe pain. My pain is mild. Dull ache (not so much pain) in the butt with sometimes a tingling sensation in the back of the legs and knees with a tight lower back at times. I have been doing massage, acupunture, cupping, stretching, hot tub, cold/hot packs for about a week. Feelings have been reduced mainly to my butt now, again, not horrible pain, just more irritating. I am active and haven t done anything much in the past week except stretch, rest, massage, etc.....I don t feel much improvement in my butt, it feels about the same, I just started taking naproxen (sp) 2 days ago. When can i begin to take risks and be active again?
