What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For UTI?

My significant other has symptoms of a uti. He is a male, and both urinalysis tests have come back abnormal. He is urinating blood and is in pain just as if it were a uti. His urine is being sent for a culture, but why is the urinalysis coming up as abnormal and what could be wrong with him?

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. His urinalysis is abnormal, as it could be positive for RBC and also for pus cells. Bacteria could also be positive.
2. As the previous treatment has possibly not cured the infection, now culture and sensitivity test is necessary to identify appropriate sensitive antibiotic for treatment.
3. Not to worry, once a sensitive antibiotic is identified, the treatment is curable.
4. Also he will need to take plenty of water along with cranberry and blueberry juice, which will be helpful.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
