Hi My 11 year 6 month old son wt 38 kgs. is advised to take Valparin chrono 300mg morning and 500 mg at night due epileptic attacks he had. He was earlier on 200 mg for 2 years and then stopped and after stopping it for 1 year 6 months he had these sizure attacks. Again started 200 mg BD due to 2nd attack after 14 days started 300 mg BD on 6th day after this had an absence sizure then we consulted neuro again advised the current dose of 300 mg at morning & 500 mg at night . Can this create anger rage in him as we see that change in him. he is non verbal ASD child. Can see lot of regression will it remain so or go off with time? Any risk of using this medication except chances of liver functional?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would explain that valparin chrono does not create anger rage. Instead, it is used to treat aggressiveness and anger rage.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
