I have had two surgeries for endometrial stromal sarcoma. One being robotic hysterectomy and to remove two spots on my lungs. Now I need to go on hormone replacement The side effects are not the best. How long do you need to take megestrol? Email YYYY@YYYY

Fluid retention and weight gain. Indeed Megestrol (megace) is most commonly prescribed as a way for someone to have an increased appetite and eat more.
