Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
been taking bystolic for around 5 years. I started developing a rash on my body around 5 months ago. I am currently being treated by a dermatologist since Jan 9th of this year. for the last 6 weeks i have been treated by the dr with halobetasol which has not cleared the rash. My dermatologist said he does not want to change my BP medicine just yet. Could I be having a reaction to the systolic after five years of use?
Slower heart rate, difficulty in breathing (in patients with airway disease). weakness, fatigue, cold and clammy hands and feet, and impotency.
Development of a rash during the drug treatment usually occurs immediately. The rash which is persisting even after using a strong and potent corticosteroid like Halobetasol is suggestive of non allergic.
Kindly get examined by a dermatologist for proper assessment and treatment of the rash all over the body.
