Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir, my child is 5.7 years old and he often suffers in snot & cough. He takes Ascoril ls+ 5ml thrice in a day for 7 days and montair lc kid (1 tab daily). He needs it 1 or 2 months interval when need. Is it okay for him? Ascril ls has any side effect?
It seems to be a safe dose for your child. Your child may be having childhood allergy. The symptoms of childhood allergy will be reduced in frequency and duration with growing age most of the time. Ascoril-LS is generally a safe drug. However, if it is taken continuously for a long time, it may cause damage to the kidneys. Hence, a patient with kidney disease should not be given this medicine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
