What Are The Repercussions Of Taking Lot Of Prescribed Medication?

my husband just took a Dayquil day time with Acetaminophen and Phenylephrine. He had a heart attack last week, he was released from the hospital last Wednesday with a heart condition, no blockage but heart disease. He is on many meds including Benazepril 20 mg, baby aspirin, Clopidogrel Bisulfate 75 mg, and Atorvastatin 80mg. Should he still take his prescribed drugs or will he have a reaction? I need to watch him 24/7! yikes

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Thank you for the question.
The medications prescribed are for his heart conduit and will help prevent future heart attacks.
I'd advise that he take the prescribed meds .
Usually, these meds don't cause any reaction .
However, it'd be highly inadvisable to discontinue them
