What Are The Repercussions Of Oral Intake Of Vaginal Suppository?

Hi I swallowed a vaginal suppository that is to treat yeast infections...i thought it was the oral one...the ingrdients are 400mg made up of alpha-lipoic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, etc...just one tablet...should i be concerned...waiting for my doctor t cal me back

The name of the particular yeast suppository would have been better.There exist many yeast suppositories with different ingredients and would act differently when taken orally.As for the ingredients you have listed, they may not cause any harm to you given that they also form components of many drugs taken orally.However, there are surely many other ingredients you have not listed.I will suggest you visit the nearest poison center with a sample of the drug you have taken for evaluation.Even though it may not pose any problem, i will prefer you visit a poison center for precautions.
