I and 27 years old and I fell down the stairs over a month ago, the whole of my side just above my hip and back was very swollen and bruised. Most of the swelling has gone but I have got hard lumps under my skin that are still very sore, could you tell me what they are nd how long it will take or hem to heal.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

If you have fallen and have no fracture, only soft tissue injuries- good for you. Bruised back and hip takes minimum 3-6 weeks to heal and that depends on the severity of the injury. Since one month has already passed, we expect 90% recovery in the next two weeks - the rest of the recovery will take longer.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
