What Are The Outcomes After Tendon Transfers To Restore Wrist Extension In Children?
Dr. Siegel I have a 5 yr old granddaughter who was injured at birth ROBPI C5 C6 ruptured, C7 partial avulsion and C8-T1 scar tissue. She underwent nerve graft surgery at 5 months and a shoulder operation at 2 yrs old. Now her doctor is recommending a wrist tendon transfer. She does have a grip and a little finger movement but her wrist drops and her hand is still in a claw position although not as bad as when she was younger and her hand would stay in a tight fist position. I was wondering about this possible operation and the prognosis and success rate.

Hi,
If you have prescription of Adderall by a registered medical practitioner,I feel you should not be concered about the test.
But if the test is being conducted for legal cause like permission for playing in a tournament.
You should withdraw it for 5 days before the test.Half life of the drug is 6 hours but remaining half takes 3-5 days more to leave your system.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
