Hello, and I hope I can help you today.
Pregnancy symptoms can vary widely between women, and the symptoms we commonly associate with pregnancy like
nausea, mood changes, breast tenderness, and spotting can also occur in an irregular more menstrual cycle due to hormone imbalances.
Irregular periods can because by
stress, travel, and even worrying about getting pregnant.
The most common sign of pregnancy however, is a missed menstrual period. So at this point, I would recommend that you take an over-the-counter urine pregnancy test. These tests will detect pregnancy just as accurately as in a doctor's office. If your pregnancy test is negative, you just may be having an irregular cycle and your period will come eventually even if it is slightly late.
If you continue to have irregular or missed menstrual cycles, you may want to see a GYN doctor for evaluation of your hormones to make sure that there are no problems. However one irregular cycle once in a while happens to most women in their lifetime and is a chance event.
I hope I was able to adequately answer your question today, and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes,
Dr. Brown
